GO DO GOOD NASHVILLE

HIGH SCHOOL MISSION TRIP cancelled

Unfortunately, due COVID-19, we have decided to cancel the mission trip. After learning that the Missouri Methodist Conference had made the decision to cancel all their June trips, we believed it was best to follow in their example. Along with that, we have also been in communication with our mission partners in Nashville, and they are either canceling or modifying their in-person summer programs. Project Transformation, the site that we planned to serve at every day in Nashville, is only allowing groups of five to serve at a time and all the volunteers must be over the age of 18. Safety is always one of our top priorities, and we hope to do what is best for you and your students. Because of that, we believed that canceling the trip is the safest and smartest decision.

We understand that this will be difficult news for your students, who are already grieving the fact that many of their activities have been canceled this spring and summer. That being said, please reach out to Krista Gonzalez or Thomas Cherian if there is any way we can support your student during this time. In the next coming weeks, we plan to share ways that your student can still safely serve the community this summer here. If gathering in larger groups becomes safer at a later date, we will consider planning a local event for the students and we will update you on those opportunities here as well.

We are praying for your students, and for you. We know these are tough times, so again, if there is any way we can support you please let us know. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.
